Hello. My mother’s traditional recipe. She’s Lebanese. I know it is a widely recognised meal. Like a comment left on my post about manoushe, the entire Levantine region has their own take on manoushe. What a beautiful tribute. Za’atar manoushe is more than just food, it's a cultural symbol of hospitality, childhood mornings, and communal baking. It’s humble, grounded in tradition. An earthy, tangy blend of herbs and toasted sesame. I love eating fresh out of the oven, warm. Although, cold folded with fresh vegetables is just as delicious.

The ingredients should make 5-7 medium sized pizza’s. All the ingredients are in cups, passed on by my mum, Marie. A passed-down recipe is more than instructions, it is inheritance, intimacy, and quiet time travel. I hear her voice, her direction. I feel like I step into the lineage every time I recreate one of my mum’s recipes.
