Hello. First, my friend kindly gave me some figs from her grandmother’s tree. Second, I made cinnamon fig jam. Third, I baked a fig loaf. This fig loaf feels like a gentle, cosy start to your day. Nothing too overwhelming, just comforting. Soft, subtle and tender. The sweetness of the fig adds a mellow richness and the cinnamon gives it a warm, inviting spice. Here is the recipe.



The ingredients should make a standard loaf tin. You can probably increase the recipe by 25% if you would like the loaf to be a little thicker. Although in that instance, you will have to bake for longer and a slightly lower temp.
